It's A Girl Thing!

I had to show my dad how to open a barrette this evening. Apparently, he’s been messing with the thing for the past month or so. He finally asked me if I knew how to work it. I popped the thing open before he had the time to say anything else. He started laughing hysterically. He’d never thought to squeeze it, because when you squeeze things, they typically tighten. He said it was the only thing he’d not done. And that it was embarrassing, because he’s an engineer.
